If Deconstruction + deferral can leave bleeding between style, medium, movements, (Art?, Arts?). Questions of the death of painting, or of art, of the issue of styles (in its demeaning sense of fashion) become defunct.

Art is whatever an artist chooses to be art, as long as it survives all kinds of delays…
Thus what is an artist>?
An artist is one who has artistic thoughts, and acts upon them, with “serious” (Performative Act) intention (Although an artist does or does not intend to make art, s/he may intend to go through a process, which at the end (at the final judgement) s/he may recognise something which is/that is art).
How do they recognise art?
What is Artistic thought?
Is this not Deferral?
The question of the artist. –If I claim something as art in a gallery, does this make me an artist? Yes+No,
You may perform a/the role by cooking for my family, this does not make you a chef!
+ without serious intention the work does not survive the delay.
The work has been made (recognised, both by artist + viewer(s). If there is any difference!?!)

-Nothing has authority unless given! Someone may use a bench as a table, he may continue to do so, until told otherwise by someone he gives authority too. This is not just the function of art, but of all (most?) objects, activities, etc

The separation between artist + viewer. The viewer may decide to look or not, to judge or not (does their denial of the object deny its arthood, subjectively yes, objectively no). THE ARTIST IS NO DIFFERENT. The author being merely the one who recognises it and judges it. To choose.
The artist intends to make a work of art.
Success > Unsure > Fails
How?
After each addition, subtraction, a decision is made. The artist chooses from different possibilities, the next act. Finally deciding, choosing it as art. (or not) > Unsure/Fails
How?
The artist VIEWS the work RECOGNISING possible connections, errors, success, until deciding it is ART (as long as it survives all kinds of delays). > The viewer thus repeats the final act of the artist!?!
Someone else perhaps an institution, ordains it art. i.e. Kosuth on Van Gogh’s palette )whole other question(
The object is art, as long as it survives all kinds of delays.
(Artist/viewer) > Viewer (probably an artist) > Institution (probably not an artist).
The shift between the one who (creates?) acts upon + the one who views upon the object. Is this no different to the consciousness who reviews its own actions. A divided self ( or rather a fragmented self)
Past > present > Future

The world was created for you. And you alone experience it.

Is Modernism + post-Modernism the same thing? Moder5nism tried to reduce knowledge to its essence, or to its Metaphysic. Post-Modernism realised we could go past this.

Modernism/Reduction
Post_Modernism/Deconstruction

Modernism > Genocide/Slavery
Post-Modernsim > Apathy/Serial Killer
